Harrisburg Book Festival

This Saturday, June 26th from 9am – 12pm I’ll be at the Midtown Arts Fair and Harrisburg Book Festival hosted by the Midtown Scholar Bookstore.

I'm so excited there’s an event like this in Harrisburg, and doubly excited to be involved! I’ll bring copies of Growing Up Girl to sell/sign (at a discount!) and I’ll be trying to promote Once a Spartan – a YA novel about a teenager in ancient Sparta who wants to compete in the Olympic Games but fears for her life if she’s caught. I'm still trying to find a publishing home for this novel, so any bit of publicity and interest I can generate now will definitely help.

The Blue Orchard: A NovelOther highlights of the Harrisburg Book Festival:

Saturday @ 7pm: Jackson Taylor speaks about his book The Blue Orchard, an historical fiction novel that takes place in central PA

Sunday @ 4pm: Bryant Simon speaks about Starbucks and the effects of coffeehouses on society.

If you’re in central PA, come say hello to me at my booth Saturday morning. Are you planning to attend?
