As mom and I stood in line at the Shedd Aquarium in Chicago, I checked my e-mail on my phone. I had a message from a woman named Eileen. She said friends of hers told her about the Daughter Project and she and her daughters, all living in the Chicago area, are interested in participating.
It was already about noon, and mom and I were only in Chicago until 2 pm the following day with an interview that mornining before departing. So if we wanted to meet with them, it would have to be that evening.
I was so tired on the day after my first experience in a sleeper train car that my first reaction was: "I don't have the mental or physical energy to set up this interview and navigate Chicago right now."
My second reaction was: "We're hear to meet mothers and daughters, so let's make this happen."
And we did. And I'm so glad we did! Eileen and Alex gave a wonderful interview. I'm sharing a bit of it with you below.
What is your most memorable experience with your mother or daughter?
