I mean, I would not always want to do it, but it is cool/fun to work with other teachers. I also do not always love group projects but I've really liked working with my group members this time. I do not know if it has to do with us all being future teachers or just that we like the content we're working with, but it has been an enjoyable, but sometimes stressful, experience. I feel like some groups I have been involved in share similar problems. I used to be the "smart person" in high school that paid attention and had to help carry the group if they needed guidance. I felt like I was the only person that cared. I feel completely different right in my group teach. For example, we planned last minute to meet at 9:30am on Friday. Every group member made it to the meeting which is outstanding considering we didn't make the meeting time official until about midnight. It is very important to have a group of people to work with that you can rely on and not have to stress out about. I agree with you, I can also see how collaborative teaching can be a rewarding and refreshing experience. I would be freaked out if I had to do something like this on my own. I like having a group to get ideas from and ask questions. I have learned so much from the experience itself and also from my group members. It is definitely something that was worth doing. I agree that we have a really pleasant, constructive and focused group dynamic. I also have been where you have been, where I am the only one contributing to the group and getting work done on these kinds of projects. Usually I just say, Well at least I'm getting a good grade on it! and am content to do all the work myself. But it isn't like that and it is nice because we are a group of dedicated teachers and teachers-to-be!
